Dunstable in Bloom continues to achieve outstanding results with the most recent being a GOLD award for the Town at the Anglia in Bloom awards day in St Ives. A true recognition of the amount of hard work that our volunteers put into making our town so vibrant.

Attending the Anglia in Bloom awards with Town Mayor, representatives from Dunstable Town Council and Dunstable in Bloom was a great opportunity to network and create openings for future discussions and projects.

As Chair of Dunstable in Bloom I was shocked to have been nominated by fellow committee members to receive the George Dawson Award for my ongoing work undertaken to deliver our In Bloom objectives.

Dunstable in Bloom was nominated in the BBC Three Counties Make a Difference Awards Environmental Category and received a Highly Commended award

Dunstable in Bloom organises a local competition each year for residents and local businesses and organisations to enter. In total 14 awards were issued this year which each being sponsored by a local business. Our awards night was a hugely successful event and was enabled through our Headline Sponsors Rotary Club of Dunstable.

And now our focus turns to 20 October when I travel to Rochdale for the Britain in Bloom results where Dunstable is a finalist in the Large Town category !
